TVA’s School Uplift Grants

TVA will announce this year’s School Uplift Grant winners from across the agency’s seven-state service territory, Tuesday, May 6^th, 2025.

TVA and partners will award grants ranging from $10,000 to $200,000, totaling over $2.3 million, to assist with building energy upgrades and learning environment improvements.

Local schools receiving grants include Mt. Pleasant & Spring Hill.

Grant amounts are dependent on the score each school achieved by cutting their energy waste through behavioral changes and by engaging students, faculty, staff and their community over the year-long program, as well as a needs-based assessment for each school that determined which buildings could achieve the greatest energy savings.

TVA’s School Uplift helps schools save about 10% on their energy bills. TVA has invested about $8.2 million and helped 323 schools save on their energy bills since 2021.
