Select Big Lots Re-Opening In May

Big Lots has announced it will be reopening 132 stores in May. The company announced in December that it had reached a deal after filing for bankruptcy protection in September.

Variety Wholesalers Inc., which owns more than 400 discount stores in the U.S. Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions, is the new owner that will be opening the stores.

Locally, Big Lots will open or re-open in Athens & Decatur in Alabama, and in Tennessee stores opening include…Alcoa, Cleveland, Greeneville, Jefferson City, Johnson City, Knoxville, Morristown, Murfreesboro, Rogersville, Sevierville.
