A family in Ardmore, Alabama, reported a missing person to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, April 17th, 2025. Concern was raised right away when it was reported that an 18-year-old female had not been seen or contacted. Following leads to places the person was known to visit, investigators Martin Evans and Cooper Posey launched an urgent search. The home of the person’s ex-boyfriend was located in the 24000 block of Esten Lane in Elkmont, Alabama, and was included in this search. Investigators found the missing teen’s body when they arrived at the home of Jonathan Andrew Etter. Etter was arrested after a search warrant was quickly acquired and evidence was found during the warrant’s execution. His current charges include Possession of a Controlled Substance, Abuse of a Corpse, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Limestone County Jail has received a booking for 20-year-old Johnathan Andrew Etter of Elkmont, Alabama with no set bond yet. The investigation is still ongoing at this time and additional charges may be added.
