The Maury and Williamson County chapters of Habitat for Humanity recently received a $46,500 grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.
The funds will be used to build two new homes in Maury County during the coming year.
The money is part of a larger $500,000 statewide grant.
The Tennessee Housing Development Agency also supplies grants to different programs helping with housing assistance. The agency has directed more than $117.3 million in grants to housing assistance programs in Tennessee since 2006.
