Lauderdale County Schools Employee Arrested for Engaging in Sexual Acts with Student

According to FOX54, an employee of Lauderdale County Schools was arrested for engaging in sexual acts with a student who was less than 19. According to court documents, Rogersville resident Amy Nicole Wigginton, 41, is charged with two counts of committing a sex act while working as a school employee. Court documents show that on two different occasions, on March 7th and March 31st, Wigginton admitted to having sex with the pupil. After reaching out to the Lauderdale County School, it was confirmed that Wigginton was placed on administrative leave.
