Charles “Pedro” King, 83 of Iron City, TN, passed away April 3, 2025 at home after an extended illness. He grew up in Florence, AL in the Weeden Heights area. He graduated from the University of North Alabama in accounting. He then attended graduate school at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He married the love of his life, Shirley Kelley King and they raised their two daughters in Haleyville, AL, before relocating to Iron City, TN, where he has spent the last 40 years. He has worked as a corporate accountant, a real estate agent, and retired from Murray Ohio. He most recently found joy in day-trading. He was an avid numismatist and loved spending time with his beloved cousins. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Blake Quillen officiating. Burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery with a reception after. Survivors include: Daughter- Angie King-McClung (Terry Hornsby) of Iron City, TN; Sister- Jean Marie Howell of Golden, MS; Son in law- James Buster Canerday of Iron City, TN; 5 Grandchildren- Samantha Williams of Collinwood, TN; Mandy Dulaney (Dustin) of Tuscumbia, AL; Brooke McClung (Madison Tubbs) of Jasper, AL; Clay King (Mendy) of Florence, AL; Tiffany Frost (Ryan Clay) of Iron City, TN;16 Great Grandchildren; Preceded in death by: Wife- Shirley Kelley King; Daughter- Jennifer Canerday; Parents- Charles & Lillie Mae White King; Loretto Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
