A Mother is Suing a Lauderdale County School for Releasing her Daughter to a Man who Performed Sex Acts

According WAAY 31, a mother is suing Lauderdale County school officials, according to recently filed court filings, after claiming that a man checked her daughter out of school to perform sex acts. On Monday, she brought that complaint against Central High School. According to documents, she holds the school accountable for her daughter’s situation and for failing to follow the correct check-out protocol. A Kentucky man named Justin Stephens was previously detained on a number of counts, including sodomy and rape, for this incident that occurred in September. He was taken without bond to the Lauderdale County jail.
