Lawrence County Fire and Rescue Response to Calls and Burn Ban

On Tuesday, March 11th, the Lawrence County Fire Rescue volunteers responded to six service calls. The call count includes a significant motor vehicle accident, two brush fires, a tire fire, a minor hazardous materials leak, and a high-priority medical emergency. They would want to express their gratitude to the workers at Rose Farms for responding to one site with several thousand gallons of water to aid in fire suppression operations. A burn ban is in effect for Lawrence County due to high winds. Please understand you should refrain from burning today due to permits not being issued and to avoid an outbreak.
