Two armed suspects are facing charges after barricading themselves inside an Elkmont home last week according to officials.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on North Wales Road in Elkmont.

Deputies attempted to serve four warrants to Charles Curtis Maddox, and Chelsea Grace Murphy, both of Elkmont.

Authorities said instead of complying, the pair barricaded themselves inside the home while armed with a shotgun.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s office reportedly responded to the scene and activated the SWAT Team and Negotiators.

After a short standoff, Maddox and Murphy surrendered.

Maddox and Murphy were booked into the Limestone County Jail both on two counts of Chemical Endangerment of a Child.
