Work Begins Today (3/6/25) On The Giles County Courthouse Doors

Work will begin today on upgrading our Giles County Courthouse exterior doors.

The plan is to remove the south doors first, and the opening will be temporarily boarded up.

Doors will be completely removed and taken to an off-site shop for renovation.

Each of the doors will be done in succession, with the main (east) doors to be done last.

Note this is both a renovation and a security upgrade. New hardware will be installed allowing doors to be locked while ensuring emergency egress.

This may be an inconvenience for some, and we sincerely apologize for that inconvenience.
