Your favorite 24-hour breakfast spot announced it will have a surcharge on egg items.
In a release, Waffle House said, the continuing egg shortage caused by the Bird Flu has caused a dramatic increase in egg prices. Effective February 3rd, Waffle House has implemented a temporary 50 cents per egg surcharge to all menus.
Waffle House did state this is a temporary price increase and chose to have the surcharge instead of increasing prices across all menu items, as well as restating their commitment to serving fresh eggs in their menu items.
