Joan Lillian Yaeger Gernert, died January 31st, 2025. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, She volunteered for the Kiwanis Club, Pace Car Club, Minor Hill School, and Southern Regional Medical Center Pulaski, employed as a CPA data processor, In-Home sales representative, and owner of ‘The General Store’ in Minor Hill.
A ‘Celebration of Life’ gathering for all family and friends will be scheduled in the near future.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Red Cross or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
Survivors include a Daughters, Kim and husband Jeff Kitzler of Atlanta, Kathleen “KJ” and husband Buddy Wilson of Madison, Sons, Eric and wife Jill Gernert of Athens, Keith and wife Alesia Spann Gernert of Danville, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members also survive.
