Spring Hill Police discovered a pregnant woman dead Monday morning, and the man who called in the incident is now facing charges.
The call was made to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office early Monday. Spring Hill officers responded to a house in the on Gale Lane and found a 30-year-old woman deceased with visible wounds.
Detectives would later learn the woman was pregnant at the time of her death. The unborn child was also killed.
The man who called officers to the house, 29-year-old Vidol Wegner, of Indiana, was detained by Robertson County deputies during the investigation. It was discovered that Wegner was in a relationship with the deceased woman.
Detectives later went to Robertson County and transported Wegner to Maury County Jail. He is facing two counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony murder.
