School Board Budget Amendment To Go Before County Commission

The Giles County School Board presented a budget amendment that will go before the county commission to begin the process of renovation at Pulaski Elementary.

The renovation of Pulaski Elementary will be part of a long and laborious project of renovating schools in the county. The renovation of Giles County High School is close to being complete, and the renovation of Bridgeforth Middle School is currently underway.

The board will get the funds from the fund balance to help facilitate payments for architects for the school renovation.

The board unanimously approved the budget amendment, which is set to be considered by the full Giles County Commission Tuesday, January 21st, 2025.

The Giles County Board of Education’s next meeting will be a  work session Thursday, January 30th, 2025.
