To help with USDA Value-Added Producer Grant applications, three workshops are being provided throughout the state for farmers who have value-added goods or who want to include new value-added activities. In February 2025, three seminars will be held to provide insight into creating a compelling application for the USDA Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) Program. The goal of these in-person workshops is to assist producers who have value-added businesses in crafting a compelling application for a value-added producer grant. Competitive grants are available through the USDA program to assist producers in financing value-added operations associated with novel product processing and marketing. The seminars’ main goal will be to assist producers in refining their grant program concepts. Lunch will be served during the workshops, which start at 10:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Registration must be finished five days before the workshop date, and there is a $15 registration charge per person. The sessions will take place in Clinton, Tennessee on February 10th, 2025; Jackson, Tennessee on February 12th, 2025; and Columbia, Tennessee on February 17th, 2025. For more information to register and details on the workshops, you can visit online at the Center for Profitable Agriculture website. Or call 931-486-2777.
