Nathaniel Ogilvie Murrey, known as “Nat” or “Uncle Nat” died at the home of his daughter on January 7th, 2025. He was 96 years old.
He was born at Valley Farm near Cornersville, attended Cornersville and Webb Schools before being accepted to Vanderbilt University graduating with a business degree. He was in the insurance business, a realtor, and an entrepreneur, ran a dairy farm and The Hut drive-through restaurant.
Survivors include his son, Nathaniel Ogilvie (Gil) Murrey, Jr. of Cornersville, and daughter, Hallie Murrey Bensinger of Pulaski, special friend, Patricia Milam and her son, Jamie Milam, of Clarksville, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be January 18th, 2025, with visitation from 1 until 3pm.
Services will be at 3:00 pm at London Funeral Home, Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
London Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Nathaniel Ogilvie Murrey.
