Freeman Harold Davis, 80, of Rogersville, died Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Glenwood Center. He was a lifelong resident of Rogersville. A veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the US Army.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Elkins East Chapel from 11 AM to 12 PM. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Bro. Harley Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be at Barkley-White Cemetery with Military Honors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Kate Davis; brothers in law, James Thigpen, Dewey Smith, Leon Thornton, Alvoyd Springer, and Bryce Tidwell.
Mr. Davis is survived by a brother, Bobby Davis (Ruth); five sisters, Jeanette Springer, Carolyn Tidwell, Martha Thornton, Sherry Smith, and Brenda Thigpen; lots of nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Glenwood for the wonderful care ALL the workers were so good to him. Special thanks to Betty Hinton who put many smiles on his face.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Max Thornton, Johnny Tidwell, Bobby Davis, Jerome Thigpen, Terry Thornton, and Brian Davis.
