Motorists Urged to Watch for Black Ice

As we continue through the wintry weather, officials are warning motorists to be especially cautious regarding refreezing and black ice.  The melting snow often re-freezes as temperatures dip overnight, creating black ice.  Motorists should be especially cautious on bridges.  Officials continue to urge residents to remain inside unless it is absolutely necessary to leave your home.  If you must drive, they recommend that you drive slowly and cautiously, allow extra distance for braking, and check for updates on road conditions.
