Northern Alabama Roads are Deemed Impassable or Closed

A road is impassable after an extreme blizzard.

Main highways and roads in Northern Alabama are becoming hazardous due to Friday, January 10th winter weather, according to officials. The latest condition for  Lauderdale County, Limestone County and Madison County as of 8:00 AM all roads are covered with snow and ice and remain impassable at this time. Some roads have completely been closed. Law Enforcement advise the public to stay home and do not travel if preventable. Road conditions will increasingly get hazardous as the day continues. Stay aware of the conditions as your safety is the main concern.
