Three Charged with Multiple Drug Charges in Florence

Agents from the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant on a home located at 302 N Cherokee St., Florence, AL, on Tuesday, January 7. One of the residents of the house engaged in drug dealing, which led to the acquisition of the search warrant. The home was entered by the Florence/Lauderdale Special Operations Team where several people were discovered inside the house. Approximately 56 grams of methamphetamine (ICE), 112 grams of crack and powder cocaine, 500 fentanyl pills, 168 grams of heroin, 200 hydrocodone pills, a small amount of marijuana, synthetic marijuana (spice), several firearms, and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug use and distribution were found by agents during a search of the property. The drugs that were found had a street worth of more than $30,000. Terry Eugene King, 47 of Florence was charged with 4 drug charges, Calvin Dewayne Shelby, 43, of Florence was charged with 2 drug charges, and Loren Paige Tatum, 27, of Florence, was charged once. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
