TDOT’s Plan For The Winter Weather

The Tennessee Department Of Transportation’s plan for this weather event as of now, is that they will only plow and salt one lane in each direction of each state route.

To clarify, they have been instructed to plow and salt only the “slow lane” or right lane on all interstates and primary state routes first.

After that they will concentrate on secondary state routes, salting and plowing only the “slow lane” or just one lane in each direction if not a multi lane Highway.

Understandably, this may impact travel on state routes in the affected counties.
