Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Lawrenceburg (STRHS) has had tremendous expansion and advancement in 2024. Driven by the goal of promoting community health, the hospital’s administration has fully embraced this vision. Adding Ashley Taylor and Chelsie Caperton, two licensed nurse midwives, to the Women’s Health Clinic staff was a crucial step in this mission. Their entrance transformed the Women’s Center and fueled its incredible expansion. When compared to the 259 deliveries in 2023, STRHS-Lawrenceburg delivered 355 newborns in 2024, a remarkable 37% rise. There is more to this growth than just numbers. The Women’s Center, which provides individualized birthing experiences and compassionate care, has grown to be a trusted destination for moms in the area. Notably, the primary C-section rate at STRHS-Lawrenceburg has remained at 21.2%, which is far lower than the state norm for Tennessee. This accomplishment demonstrates the staff’s dedication to helping moms safely pursue their selected delivery plans.
