Warming Centers in Giles County

Warming Centers are available during winter weather in Giles County. As colder temperatures settle in, Giles County is prepared to ensure everyone in our community has a safe place to warm up. Several local churches have partnered with the Giles County Office of Emergency Management to provide warming centers during the upcoming winter weather. Richland Baptist Church will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 Am to 5:00 PM. Elkton Methodist Church will be open by contacting 931-393-0911 and requesting Emergency Management if needed. First Methodist Church will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and First Baptist Church from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lastly, Saint Andrews Community Church will be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and on Wednesday nights from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please contact Giles County 911 at 931-363-0911 for assistance after normal business hours. They will notify the Giles County OEM and arrange for a warming center to be opened. If you or someone you know requires additional assistance, please call 931-363-0911 and request to speak with the Office of Emergency Management.
