A minor and an adult were taken into custody by Florence police on suspicion of breaking into cars at Redfern Apartments. Officers from the Florence Police Department were called to the Redfern Apartments on Helton Drive on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, after receiving a report of two people trying to enter vehicles in the parking lot. Officers found two men who fit the witnesses’ description when they arrived. The suspects had attempted to enter other cars after breaking into at least one, according to the results of an investigation. A sixteen-year-old boy and Dalton Noahallen Brawley, 21, of Nauvoo, were taken into custody by Florence Police on three charges of attempted unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and one act of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle. On a $10,000 bond, Dalton Brawley is being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center. The Tennessee Valley Juvenile Detention Center is where the minor is being detained. The Florence Police Department advises you to keep your cars locked and never leave valuables in an unattended vehicle to lessen your chances of being a victim.
