Stay Indoors During Extreme Temperatures

When temperatures become dangerously cold, residents should remain inside unless you absolutely must venture outside.  In addition, TEMA recommends that you:  walk carefully on snowy or icy walkways; drive only when necessary;  Avoid overexertion when shoveling snow;  keep dry by changing wet clothing frequently; wear several layers of lightweight, loose-fitting clothing; wear mittens, which are warmer than gloves; wear a hat and cover your mouth with a scarf.
