As temperatures plummet, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency is urging residents to exercise caution, to remain safe. They remind residents to never use items like generators, grills, camp stoves, or other burning devices inside your home, garage, basement, crawl space, or any other enclosed space. They also urge persons who depend on electricity to operate medical equipment to have a backup plan – to secure an alternative means of powering necessary equipment, or an alternative place to go in case of a power outage.
