Grace House Grand Opening (12/18/24)

The Room in the Inn of Columbia will have their open house for their brand-new homeless shelter today.

Over the last eight years, the non-profit has helped more than a thousand Mid-state families get back on their feet, but they’ve struggled to find a place to house those families while they’re in transition.

They started operating out of a church, but the fire department shut them down because of a code’s violation.

The non-profit then began putting people up in a local hotel, all the while they’ve been raising money to open “Grace House,” a four-bedroom home with a communal kitchen designed specifically for families in need.

Grace House is located on 1131 Mapleash Avenue in Columbia, Tennessee.

The open house is today (December 18^th) from 3 until 6pm.
