Limestone County Pair Arrested For Theft

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office along with the Athens Police Department conducted an investigation that led to two men being arrested for stealing trucks and trailers.

The investigators developed two suspects in the case, Tommy Kaye Thompson and William Flint Childers, and the investigation led to multiple vehicles and trailers being recovered.

Tommy Kaye Thompson III, of Tanner, has been charged with five counts of theft, receiving stolen property, and receiving stolen property. His bond is set at $37,500.

William Flint Childers, of Harvest, Alabama, has been charged with theft, and receiving stolen property. His bond is set at $10,000, although there is no bond currently set for a previous charge of attempted theft.

According to authorities, the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are expected.
