New State Park Coming in the Area!

There will soon be a new State Park in the area. A 950-acre wilderness area in Lewis County, close to the Hickman County border, is known as Devil’s Backbone State Natural Area. It is located approximately North of the junction of the Natchez Trace and Highway 412 and West of the Trace itself. The region will shortly undergo additional development as the State of Tennessee transforms it from a State Natural Region to a State Park.
