A Lawrence County man has been arrested following a Cyber-Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children began investigating after receiving a Cyber-Tip earlier this month that an account had shared child sexual abuse material.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence in Summertown. That search produced a cell phone that had child sexual abuse material.

Further investigation showed that 28-year-old Stephen Dyer owned the phone and account. Dyer was arrested yesterday (11/5) by TBI – ICAC agents along with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and TBI Criminal Investigation Division special agents.

He’s  being held in the Lawrence County Jail with no bond, and has been charged with one count of child exploitation.
