John Franklin Bilyeu Jr. died at his home in Pulaski, Sunday October 27th, 2024 at the age of 76. He was born in California,
graduated from Gervais High School, received a full-ride football and wrestling scholarship from Eastern Oregon College, was named to the All-Conference and All-District football & wrestling teams, he was inducted into the Eastern Oregon College Hall of Fame. After college, John received offers to play football for the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and the San Francisco 49er’s but declined due to injuries. He worked as a
security chief, police officer, sergeant, lieutenant, and state investigator.
Survivors include his wife, Deb Bilyeu of Pulaski, sister, Patty and husband Mike Raykovich of Fayetteville, brother, Rick and wife Linda Bilyeu of Lynnville, step-sisters, Katie Corley and Deborah DeBaecke and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 1st, 2024 from 3:00 until 5:00pm at Richland Baptist Church at 10930 Columbia Highway, Lynnville.
Services will be Saturday, November 2nd at 2:00pm with Pastor Rick Bilyeu officiating.
Bennett May & Pierce Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for John Franklin Bilyeu Jr.
