Hit & Run Accident In Lawrence County

Over the weekend the Tennessee Highway Patrol was looking for assistance locating a driver and a vehicle connected to a Saturday morning hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Loretto.

Officials said the crash happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 26th, 2024 on U.S. Highway 43 near Smith Circle.

The vehicle in question was last seen traveling north toward Lawrenceburg after the incident.

Investigators were looking for a white or silver 2000 to 2010, Ford Ranger or Mazda extended cab pickup truck, the vehicle may have front-end damage.

Later in the day (Saturday) the Felon turned himself in to authorities in Lawrence County….this from the THP Facebook page, the pickup truck and the driver had been located. No additional details have been released about the ongoing investigation.
