The Lawrence County Fire and Rescue and the Lawrence County Fire Department Duties in East Tennessee

The Lawrence County Fire and Rescue and the Lawrence County Fire Department gathered a 7-man team to send to Elizabethton to assist with the severe floods. They were tasked with water rescue and welfare checks for those in the community who had not been accessed from the first day of the flood. They helped with making rescues and faced harsh conditions that were a result of the flood. This was one of the worst infrastructures the men had seen before. We send all of our thoughts and prayers to those affected by the flood and hope their safety remains secured.
