Economic Impact for the South-Central Tennessee Tourism Association

The economic impact of the South-Central Tennessee Tourism Association has reached an all-time high of $517 million. Lawrence County Raises $29.9 Million by 4.5%. The 13-county South Central Tennessee Tourism Association, which includes Lawrence, saw 3.6 million visitors in 2023. Out of the 95 counties in Tennessee, Lawrence County came in at number 46. Lawrence County received $3.1 million in state and local tax revenue from visitor spending. The state and local taxes paid by each Lawrence County family would have increased by $188 if it weren’t for the revenue provided by tourism. Lawrence County received $7.43 million in payroll from visitor spending.
