Damage After the Storms

A powerful thunderstorm destroyed a revival tent set up on County Farm Road, just South of Ethridge, injuring two and causing one person to be removed. At approximately 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon, the storm hit, but the revival activities had not yet started. The injuries were regarded as minimal. The storm had earlier brought down trees close to Hickory Street off Fall River, resulting in reported damage to electrical lines. It was reported that a tree near the Crossroads Market on Fall River Road had fallen and was obstructing traffic. Damage to a nearby roof was also reported.
