On Saturday, September 28th, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will observe National Hunting and Fishing Day. This particular day honors many generations of hunters and fishers for their contributions to the long-standing heritage of wildlife protection made possible by the sales of hunting, fishing, and boating licenses. By promoting participation and raising public knowledge of the association between hunting, fishing, and conservation, National Hunting and Fishing Day aims to attract new hunters and anglers. The fall deer and turkey archery seasons will also begin on that Saturday in certain counties.
