James Dennis Mooney, 77, died September 14th. He was born in Pulaski, a life-long resident of Pulaski, graduated from Giles County High School, obtained an associate’s degree from Martin Methodist College and a bachelor’s degree from Lambuth College. He was an alderman for the city of Pulaski, Co-Chairman of The Pulaski-Giles County Industrial Development Committee, and three-time President of the Pulaski-Giles County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Exchange Club, a member of Highland Baptist Church, and worked as a loan officer and Executive Vice-President of The Union Bank.
Survivors include children James Dennis Mooney, Jr. and wife Melissa of Spring Hill and Kimberly Mooney Johnson and husband Derek of Smyrna, 4 grandchildren, brother William O. Mooney and wife Paula of Colorado, mother of his children, Linda Arthur Mooney of Pulaski, and several other family members and friends.
Visitation will be September 29th, 2024, from 1:00 until 2:30 at Highland Baptist Church, Pulaski.
A celebration of life be at 2:30pm with Pastor Barry Fralix officiating.
Burial will be at Giles Memory Garden.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Highland Baptist Church (1823 Mill Street, Pulaski, TN 38478) and Giles County Little League (C/O First National Bank, Attn: Lindsay Adams, 206 South First Street, Pulaski, TN 38478).
