Lweisburg Resident Shot, Police Searching For Suspect

A man is in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound Tuesday, according to the Lewisburg Police Department.

Officers were near Silver Street late Tuesday when they heard multiple gunshots. A man, identified as 53-year-old Reginald Lewis, of Culleoka, was found lying on the street in front of the George Turner Building suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Lewis was airlifted to a trauma center and currently remains there in critical condition.

Authorities say they have identified a suspect,the suspect’s identity will remain undisclosed as the investigation continues.
