Giles County Economic Development Work Session (9/23/24)

The Giles County Economic Development Work Group will hold a meeting at the Courthouse Annex – Basement Boardroom, Tuesday, September 23rd, 2024 @ 4:00pm.

On the agenda for the meeting, preliminaries, approval of minutes, the County Executive announcements, the Chair’s  business including a guest speaker, Jesse Parker (Chamber of Commerce) in support of local businesses, tourism, and then a question & answer segment.

Also on the agenda, the Chair’s proposal, a new walking trail in town on unused city/county property, and discussion of any other potential partnerships and projects.

Next, another guest speaker, Phil Reese, EDC Director will speak on Interstate corridor opportunities and Exit 14 and then a question & answer segment.

Note, the Chair will ensure time for public comment prior to voting on each item of business. Members of public are limited to 5 minutes duration per agenda item.
