Elder Henry Norman Cliburn Sr., age 92, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September, 17, 2024 at NHC Brink in Lawrenceburg. He was born on May 11th, 1932 to the late Lois Cliburn and Frances Jenkins Cliburn Young in Macon County, TN. He worked as a salesman and truck driver throughout his working career, and dedicated his life to his ministry. He served as a minister and was a member of Heaven’s Gateway Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time by the pond, fishing. He lived life to the fullest each and every day, and was known for his wonderful sense of humor. He was a loving father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 75 years, Evelyn Cliburn; Daughter, Rebecca Jean Wright; Grandson, Christopher Alan Cliburn; Great Granddaughter, Cameron Lee Wright.
He is survived by his sons, Henry Norman Cliburn Jr. and James Nelson Cliburn; daughter, Vickie Joyce Violet (Richard Earl); 10 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; nephew, Marty Meador (Clarissa); Son-in-law, Billy Wright.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Brother Marty Meador will be officiating.
Interment will be held at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the exceptional care provided to them by Hospice Compassus and the nursing staff at NHC Brink.
