The Tennessee Highway Safety Office has announced a $33.5 million federal grant fund to support state-wide highway safety enforcement and education. Over 390 federal awards totaling more than $33 million have been given to partners in highway safety and law enforcement throughout Tennessee. Funds from media grants totaling about $4 million will be used for public awareness and education efforts on highway safety throughout the entire state. Through grant applications made available by the THSO, advocates for road safety, non-profits, emergency response teams, law enforcement, district attorneys general, and other agencies from throughout Tennessee apply for money each year.
