TVA Requesting Electric Utilities Proposals

The Tennessee Valley Authority announced that a decision had been made to issue a Request for Proposals related to the electric utilities planned Lawrence County, Alabama Solar Project.

Tennessee Valley Authority will issue the Request for Proposals to better understand what’s available in the market to complete construction of a 200 Mega-Watt solar photovoltaic facility north of Route 72 in Lawrence County.

A Request for Proposals is a business document that describes a project and asks qualified contractors to submit bids to complete it. Request for Proposals are often issued for government funded projects.

The Tennessee Valley Authority plans to select from the Request for Proposals in the first quarter of 2025.
