Burn Bans are in effect for some communities across Middle Tennessee.

Locally Burn Bans are in place for Lawrenceburg and Loretto, plus other areas in Middle Tennessee including, Gallatin, Brentwood, Mt. Juliet, and La Vergne.

A burn ban is issued due to overly dry conditions and a heightened need for community protection.

The bans cover any kind of open burning, including leaves or brush, construction debris, fields, campfires, and burn barrels.

The Burn Bans will remain in effect until conditions improve and there is no longer an elevated risk of out-of-control burning.
