Glenda Faye Thompson Dodd

Glenda Faye Thompson Dodd, 83, of Florence, AL, passed away August 26, 2024 at Green Oaks Assisted Living. Glenda Faye was a member of the Laborers Local Sheffield for many years and was on the fire watch at TVA. She was a member of Petersville Church of Christ. Glenda Faye loved to spend her retired time as a volunteer at ECM Hospital.  She also loved to bake wedding cakes and making floral arrangements.

Husband: Paul Dodd

Step-Son: Kelvin Dodd (Janelle)

Step-Daughters: Mary Hazelbaker (Jackie) & April Strait (Bradley)

Brothers: Harold Dean Thompson & Donald Thompson

Many Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren who loved their MawMaw Faye dearly

 

She was preceded in death by:

Parents: Benjamin Dewey Thompson and Jessie Gertrude Gray Thompson

Brothers: Charles Thompson, Russell Thompson, Thomas Thompson, and Robert Thompson

Sisters: Louise Gist and Sue Darby

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 28 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Nolan Burns and Adam Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

 

The family would like to thank Green Oaks Assisted Living for taking such good care of Glenda Faye over the years.
