Industrial Fire In Lawrenceburg

Several units responded to an industrial fire in Lawrenceburg Thursday.

Authorities say that units received a call from a pull station inside TPR Federal Mogul on Helton Drive.

Units arrived to find fire near a furnace containing iron ore. The fire was contained to one pit.

The Lawrenceburg Fire Department received assistance from Lawrence County Fire & Rescue as well as other units.

Damage was contained to the furnace and smoke damage was indicated in other parts of the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
