The Giles County Sheriff’s Department and Pulaski Police Department teamed this week with TBI Intelligence Analysts for Operation Safe Keep, an operation to administer the state’s Sex Offender Registry.

Operation Safe Keep provides support to local agencies with state’s sex offender compliance.

The Sex Offender Registry compliance check operations such as this one are conducted periodically in various counties across the state.

This operation took place August 19th through 21st, 29 offenders were contacted, 26 were compliant. Arrests were made on 3 offenders for a variety of violations, such as failure to report address/vehicle/employment, failure to report for annual/quarterly reporting, and living restrictions.

Sheriff Helton would like to thank all those who helped this operation be successful.
