THE TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL WILL BE CONDUCTING ROADSIDE SAFETY CHECKPOINTS FRIDAY IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES LEWIS COUNTY ON STATE ROUTE 48 SOUTH AT TOPSY ROAD, MAURY COUNTY ON STATE ROUTE 99 WEST OF RALLY HILL ROAD AND GILES COUNTY ON US 31 AT THE 14 MILE MARKER. THE TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL RECOGNIZES THAT ROADSIDE SAFETY CHECKPOINTS SUCH AS THESE ARE HIGHLY VISIBLE AND EFFECTIVE TOOLS OF ENFORCING THE LAWS OF TENNESSEE WHILE ENSURING THE PROTECTION OF VEHICLE OCCUPANTS.

I’m pretty sure that’s the whole goal for the check point in the first place… to keep intoxicated people off the road. 😑 look further than the drunk/druggie and you’ll see the solution to a problem instead of just the problem not realizing your mindsets that think like this is part of the problem. “If you want something to change, then you’re part of the problem” take stigma from the problem watch more people reach out for help instead of doing nothing from the fear of judgment, rejection and small minded people that have no knowledge on the topic they make judgements on, it don’t discriminate so stay humble!

It’s not just pointed towards drunks and addicts like society seems to always make out as sinners and all the rest saints. It’s called a safety check point. Not an impairment check

I commend these law enforcement officers for what they do Every day!! They are Always in danger putting their lives in danger whether a regular stop or checkpoints like these , the world has some crazy people.People get themselves in trouble !!

Thank you to all our emergency personnel for all that they do! I know I’m grateful for their sacrifice I don’t want to live in a society where we don’t have them, but there are people who would prefer to have them defunded all that would help with is more chaos! Until you have walked in there shoes and been through what they go through doing their jobs to keep us and our neighborhoods safe…then keep your negativity to yourself they are the ones that put their lives on the line so you can live safe and sound!
