Richard Holt died August 5th, 2024 at Bethany Center for Rehab and Healing in Nashville. He was born in Giles County, and 90 years old. He was a member of Lewter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Ohio, employed by the city of Canton. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his time in Korea, a member of the veterans group chosen for an “Angel Flight” to Washington.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 17th, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
Services will be at 12:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
Burial will be in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors on Monday, August 19th, 2024 at 1:00pm.
Survivors include his daughter, Dr. Trevor J. Holt of Nashville, bonus son, Tony Reynolds of LaVergne, and several other family members and friends.
Bennett May & Pierce Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Richard Holt.
