Search efforts for 83-year-old Caulyne Cross have resumed today (Thursday) as the community and emergency response teams continue to work to locate her.
Mrs. Cross was last seen on August 13, 2024, around 1:30 PM. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs approximately 110 pounds, and was last seen wearing a pink pajama top and red pants.
Authorities have been overwhelmed by the incredible support from emergency response agencies throughout Middle Tennessee and the outpouring of assistance from the community. The dedication and willingness to help have been truly inspiring.
Today, volunteers are encouraged to bring ATVs, UTVs, or horses to assist in the search. It is imperative that all volunteers report to the staging area, check-in, and be assigned a specific location to search. This procedure is crucial to ensuring the safety of both responders and volunteers.
The staging area is located in a large open field just before 797 Powell Chapel Road. Authorities cannot stress enough the importance of checking in at the staging area before participating in the search.
Anyone who wishes to volunteer should report to the staging area and check in upon arrival. Your cooperation and vigilance are vital as we continue our efforts to find Mrs. Cross and bring her home safely.
If you plan on coming, please dress appropriately, BOOTS and LONG PANTS are a must. Several of the areas are overgrown and full of briars.
