This year, as in many years, there’s a teacher shortage in Tennessee.

There are open teaching positions in many Middle Tennessee Counties and School Systems.

In our area there are 9 open teaching positions in Giles County, 13 open teaching positions in Lawrence County, 6 open teaching positions in Lincoln County, 7 open teaching positions in Marshall County, 12 open teaching positions in Lewis County, and 35 open teaching positions in Maury County.

Even with new faces in Middle Tennessee, the teaching profession is still facing a shortage.

That means some classrooms may not have a teacher to start the school year. Middle Tennessee school districts have openings in every level from kindergarten to high school educators.

In addition Tennessee school districts on average have upped first-year teacher salaries across Middle Tennessee by $5,000.

To find out more information about teaching positions, contact your local School District.
